Riyadh Hosts Global Leaders for Human Capability Initiative Conference

Riyadh: The second edition of the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) Conference commenced today in Riyadh, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) Committee.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference, themed “Beyond Readiness,” is taking place at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center and has gathered over 300 leaders, policymakers, and global experts from academia, the private sector, and non-profit organizations, including attendees from 38 countries.

In a statement, Minister of Education and HCDP Executive Committee Chairman Yousef Al-Benyan mentioned that this second edition builds upon the success of its predecessor, emphasizing the Kingdom’s role in the global conversation about the future of human capacity development.

The conference program includes more than 100 dialogue sessions across four key platforms, aiming to facilitate the exchange of experiences and explore practices for enhancing human capacity to adapt to global changes. Participants will examine future trends, focusing on innovative models for empowering individuals and communities and strengthening collaboration among various sectors to develop sustainable solutions.

The HCI Conference will host significant events, including a ministerial roundtable with participation from 20 ministers worldwide and a meeting of the UNESCO Executive Board. Several agreements and launches related to human capacity development at both local and global levels are planned.

Organized by the HDCP, a key initiative within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the conference emphasizes human potential. The ministry will also host the Education Global Exhibition (EDGEx) from April 13 to 16 in Riyadh, creating a week dedicated to human capacity and education and serving as a platform for unlocking human potential.
