Sayma Platform: A Global Media and Cultural Reference Showcases Saudi Arabia’s History with a Modern Digital Vision

Riyadh: The “Sayma” platform, part of the Digital Archive Center at the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), continues to strengthen its presence as a key player in the media content industry, achieving significant milestones in documenting and preserving the visual and auditory memory of the Kingdom and the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the platform is a cultural and media reference that reflects the identity and culture of the Kingdom, bridging the past and present through rich digital content available for use worldwide.

It houses the largest digital archive in the Middle East, containing over 1.2 million archived media materials in modern formats, including more than 400,000 hours of digitally preserved content, making it a comprehensive platform to support media production with rich, documented resources.

As part of its technological development, the platform offers advanced services using artificial intelligence, which facilitates access to various media materials as a reliable source for government and private entities, directors, content creators, and production companies to enhance their creative work.

The Sayma platform has received widespread recognition in media circles, gracing the cover of the global magazine BroadcastPro and winning BroadcastPro ME’s Innovative Project of the Year Award for 2024.

It has also supported numerous local and international entities by sharing its distinctive media content. Additionally, Sayma has formed strategic partnership agreements with several government agencies and private sector institutions to invest in media materials, aiming to strengthen its presence as a trusted source of media content and contribute to the growth of the media industry.
