Security committee holds meeting
The security committee affiliated with Capital Governorate held its tenth regular meeting.
Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa chaired the session which warned against the danger of shops refilling gas burners at residential and service zones.
The panel stressed the necessity of ensuring security and safety conditions to protect people's lives, discussing the possibility of relocating these outlets.
National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) general-manager Jassim Al-Shirawi staged a video presentation focusing gas-refilling shops which serve certain categories of citizens and expatriates.
According to the presentation, these shops use 66 gas cylinders on average daily to refill 866 small burners at residential areas and other locations.
