Bahrain to host conference on excellence in social, volunteer work
Manama, Bahrain Society for Voluntary Work (BSVW), in partnership with Princess Seeta bint Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in Social Work, will organize on September 8-10 the first international conference on excellence in social and volunteer work.
Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Humaidan, will patronize the conference entitled (Toward distinguished institutional work).
Al Sindi said the conference will focus on cooperation strategy and establishing relations and agreements, best management practices in (sustainability - quality - transparency - excellence - governance), outstanding civil initiatives in social and voluntary work, in addition to the importance of institutional work for private charitable organizations and endowments managements. It will also shed light on the role of social partnerships in social and voluntary work, the role of media in strengthening the culture of social and volunteer work and motivating society members to engage in them, in addition to means of marketing the social and voluntary programmes through social media.
Secretary-General of the Princess Seeta bint Abdulaziz Award, Dr. Fahad bin Hamad Al Maghlouth, expressed delight in working for the first time with the Bahraini side to boost the voluntary work among the youth. He said 12 Arab delegations would discuss their visions.
