Foreign Minister Receives A Telephone Call From His Turkish Counterpart
Baghdad, (NINA0 - Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali al-Hakim received a phone call from his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu congratulating him on his selection as foreign minister in the new government, stressing Turkey's keenness to develop relations between the two countries and his readiness to cooperate fully with al-Hakim.
"Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim thanked his Turkish counterpart for his congratulations and stressed his readiness to work intensively to develop relations between Baghdad and Ankara for the good of both countries and peoples," a foreign ministry statement said.
The two ministers stressed the importance of continuing to work on holding the Iraqi-Turkish joint committee in the near future and include ambitious and important directions that will push the reality and future of relations between the two countries. "
