Lebanon's Ambassador to UNESCO, Sahar Baassiri, praised the high-level organisation of the 42nd meeting of the World Heritage Committee recently held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, pointing out the meeting prudent management under the chairmanship of Chairperson of the World Heritage Committee, Shaikha Haya bint Rashid Al Khalifa.

In a statement to Bahrain News Agency, Baassiri said the meeting provided the opportunity to visit the Bahrainis sites listed on the World Heritage list, including Qal'at al-Bahrain (Bahrain Fort) and Pearl Road.

She noted Bahrain's tremendous efforts to protect the heritage and its keenness to host the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage in Manama.
