Strong Turnout at Buraidah Dates Carnival


The successful Buraidah Dates Carnival is maintaining its momentum, with constant purchasing and marketing of over 50 date varieties.

The event has attracted a significant number of farmers and traders to this city renowned for its date production.

Sukkari dates remained a popular choice among buyers, with prices ranging from SAR30 to SAR100 for a three-kilogram package. Other date varieties are priced competitively, based on quality.

The 51-day carnival, which started on August 1, is expected to see on display the produce of over 11.2 million palm trees.

In addition to the marketplace, the event includes a diverse range of cultural, awareness-raising, social, and entertainment programs, starting with September. The National Center for Palms and Dates is overseeing the carnival.

Minassian visits Mikati, invites him to partake in receiving body of Cardinal Aghajanian upcoming September


Prime Minister Najib Mikati received at his residence today Patriarch of the Armenian Catholic House of Cilicia, Raphael Bedros XXI Minassian, in the presence of the Associate Bishop of the Patriarchal Diocese of Beirut, Krikor Badishah, and Public Relations Officer of the Patriarchate, Charbel Bastouri.

Patriarch Minassian extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to participate in the ceremony to receive the body of Cardinal Patriarch Krikor Pedros XV Aghajanian, which will take place upcoming September 12 at Martyrs’ Square in Central Beirut.
