Iranian Revolutionary Guard: Haniyeh’s assassination carried out by firing a short-range projectile

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, was carried out by launching a projectile with a 7-kilogram warhead from a close distance, accusing Israel of being behind this operation with the support of the United States.

Al-Alam TV quoted a statement by the Revolutionary Guard as saying that “the projectile used in the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh was short-range and was launched from outside the guest residence area.”

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards, according to the statement, promised the “gambling and terrorist Zionist regime” with a “decisive response to this crime”, stressing that “Tehran’s revenge will be severe at the appropriate time and place, and in the appropriate manner.”

It pointed out that the building in which Haniyeh was located is a residence for foreign guests and is subject to all security protocols.

The Revolutionary Guards stressed in its statement that the blood
of Commander Ismail Haniyeh will not be in vain, and the Zionist regime will receive severe punishment for the crime, and that the assassination of Haniyeh will have devastating repercussions on the Zionist entity and the United States, which supports it.

Tehran and Hamas accused Tel Aviv of being behind the assassination, while Israel, which has been waging a war on the Gaza Strip since last October, has not yet acknowledged the assassination of Haniyeh or denied its involvement.

US Vice President collects the necessary votes for her nomination for the White House race

US Vice President Kamala Harris succeeded in obtaining the necessary votes to ensure the Democratic Party’s nomination for her to run in the upcoming presidential elections against Republican candidate Donald Trump, next November.

The Democratic National Committee announced that Harris was the only candidate in the electronic ballot, which lasted for five days, after four thousand delegates signed petitions supporting her candidacy, as she will be officially nominated at the party’s conference in /Chicago/ later this month.

In a related context, sources reported that Kamala Harris’s campaign included three senior advisors, including two prominent strategic experts who led former President Barack Obama’s campaign to win two consecutive terms.

The same sources explained that David Plouffe, who served as Obama’s presidential campaign manager in 2008 and was a prominent aide during his victory in 2012, has joined Harris’ presidential campaign as a senior advisor.

Stephanie Cutter, a Democratic Party member an
d public relations expert and former White House public relations director and Obama’s deputy campaign manager, has also joined the campaign as a senior advisor for strategic communications.

Others on the Obama campaigns include Mitch Stewart as a senior advisor for swing states.

Kamala Harris is expected to begin her campaign next week, in a tour that includes seven crucial states.
