Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman discuss strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation


Baghdad: The Iraqi Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Qais Saad Al-Amri, met with the Governor of Al-Dakhiliyah, Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed bin Hamdan Al-Hajri.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that: ‘During the meeting, talks were exchanged on the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in a way that contributes to achieving common interests and serving the two peoples ”

The Ambassador also met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate, Saif bin Nasser Al-Taiwani, and a number of Omani businessmen. During the meeting, the most aspects of economic cooperation and ways to enhance trade exchange between the two brotherly countries were discussed.”

Iranian President: America is at the forefront of threats against our country and we will be able to confront them


Baghdad: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed today, Saturday, that there are threats directed against his country, stressing: “America is at the forefront of these threats.”

The Iranian “Tasnim” Agency reported that Pezeshkian stressed in the public session of the Iranian Shura Council that “Iran will be able to confront these threats,” calling for understanding and consideration of the country’s conditions by the members of the council and granting confidence to the entire proposed ministerial formation in order to “build an Islamic Iran.”

He added: “The government that I presented to the Shura Council is a government of national consensus, and this government is related to all the Iranian people and is obligated to guarantee the citizenship rights of all Iranians and give priority to national interests.”

Pezeshkian continued: “The mission of the 14th government is to provide and secure fair and good education for all people, regardless of gender and race.

Last week, the Iranian Shura Council r
eceived a list of names of proposed ministers from President Masoud Pezeshkian, to vote on granting them confidence.

According to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, the government includes 19 portfolios, in which President Pezeshkian chose Abbas Araghchi as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eskandar Momeni as Minister of Interior, Aziz Nasirzadeh as Minister of Defense, and Seyyed Esmail Khatib as Minister of Security.

IRNA News Agency reported that the President appointed the first woman in his government, as he issued a decree appointing Dr. Zahra Behrouz Azar as his deputy for women and family affairs.

Iran: We reserve the right to respond to Israel after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh


Baghdad: Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani said that his country reserves the “right to legitimate response” to Israel after the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran at the end of last month.

Bagheri Kani added in a phone call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati today: The United States is “a partner in the crimes of the Zionist entity and cannot be a neutral mediator.”

Al-Hakim stresses the need to invest all capabilities to stop the war in Gaza


Baghdad: The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed today, Saturday, the necessity of investing all capabilities to stop the war in Gaza and restore calm in the region.

Al-Hakim said in a statement that he “received the delegation of the International Council for Religious and Humanitarian Dialogue headed by Ali al-Moussawi, and discussed with them their vision towards the issues of interest to the Council,” stressing “the necessity of investing all capabilities to stop the war in Gaza and restore calm in the region.”

PM receives a group of sheikhs of Bani Hajim tribes in Muthanna and stresses the importance of the tribes in supporting social peace


Baghdad: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received today, Saturday, a group of sheikhs of Bani Hajim tribes in Muthanna Governorate.

Al-Sudani pointed out, during the meeting, the significant importance that the government attaches to the role of tribes in supporting social peace, strengthening the work of state institutions, and assisting the competent authorities in enforcing the law and completing their tasks, stressing the need to provide support to complete the projects that have been planned for the governorate.

The Prime Minister explained to the attendees that the government program has given clear importance to service and economic projects, according to an accurate diagnosis of the needs of the people in the governorates, cities and districts, and within an ambitious vision that provides priorities according to the actual need for services.

Al-Sudani stressed that the government is proceeding with following up on all development and service fields and activities at the same time, and in a

The Presidency of the Republic denies its intention to prepare a draft law amending the Elections Law


Baghdad: The Presidency of the Republic denied the existence of an agreement to amend the Elections Law with leaders of the Coordination Framework.

The Presidency stated in a statement that it “denies what was circulated on social media by some figures about the Presidency’s intention, in agreement with leaders of the Coordination Framework, to prepare a draft law to amend the Elections Law.”

The statement added; “While we deny such fabricated news that is nothing more than rumors intended to create confusion in the political arena, we will regretfully be forced to prosecute those who seek to spread at the expense of societal peace and security, at a time when we are working to bring the viewpoints of the partners in the political process closer together, in order to move forward in providing the best services and accomplishing what the government promised in its program.”

PM: Salah al-Din Governorate requires double efforts to improve its service and economic reality


Baghdad: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Saturday, Salah al-Din Governor Badr Mahmoud Fahal.

Al-Sudani was briefed on the nature of the progress of service and development projects, and their implementation mechanisms, in order to achieve all the requirements for their completion, and in a way that provides basic services to citizens, in fulfillment of the government’s pledges in its government program and its basic priorities.

The Prime Minister stressed that Salah al-Din Governorate was among the first governorates he visited after assuming his executive duties in the presidency of the government, and it requires double efforts, and work to complete major projects in the governorate, in a way that helps in improving its service and economic reality

Baghdad: US officials confirmed on Saturday that the Secret Service has sent a number of members of President Joe Biden’s special protection team to help his opponent plan ahead for election rallies and other events, indicating that this time armored glass and drones will be used during upcoming speeches.

The officials explained that “agents from the Presidential Protection Department are currently working to coordinate and enhance security for candidates in the run-up to the November 5 presidential election,” noting that “these agents who help candidates are not among those tasked with protecting Biden.”
