WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually litigate securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs’ Bar. Many of the firm’s attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers.

DETAILS OF THE CASE: The lawsuit alleges that, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements, as well as failed to disclose material adverse facts, about Plug’s business and operations. Specifically, defendants misrepresented and/or failed to disclose that Plug was unable to effectively manage its supply chain and product manufacturing, resulting in reduced revenues and margins, increased inventory levels, and several large deals being delayed until at least 2023, among other issues. As a result, defendants’ statements about Plug Power’s business, operations, prospects, and ability to effectively manage its supply chain and production lacked a reasonable basis. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

No Class Has Been Certified. Until a class is certified, you are not represented by counsel unless you retain one. You may select counsel of your choice. You may also remain an absent class member and do nothing at this point. An investor’s ability to share in any potential future recovery is not dependent upon serving as lead plaintiff.

OIL BROADLY STEADY AMID OPEC+ SUPPLY CUT UNCERTAINTY, DEMAND WORRIES

Oil prices were stable on Friday, as the market weighed conflicting messages on supply from Russia and Saudi Arabia ahead of the next OPEC+ policy meeting, a stronger U.S. dollar and worries of weaker-than-expected demand growth. Brent crude was up 40 cents at $76.66 a barrel at 0959 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate rose 54 cents to $72.37 a barrel. Benchmarks settled more than $2 per barrel lower on Thursday, after Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak played down the prospect of further OPEC+ production cuts at its meeting in Vienna on June 4. Both prices were still poised to post a second week of gains of slightly less than 1%. A deal to raise the U.S. debt ceiling, which appears in sight, would likely boost oil prices. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that energy prices were approaching “economically justified” levels, also indicating there could be no immediate change to the group’s production policy. Their remarks contrasted with comments this week from Saudi Arabian Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, the de-facto leader of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), warning short sellers to “watch out”

Al-Maliki Calls From Karbala To Unify Ranks To Participate In The Coming Local Elections

The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, called for uniting ranks and participating in the local elections to be held at the end of this year.

Al-Maliki said in a speech at a large mass and clan gathering held in the holy city of Karbala today, Friday: “These conferences and gatherings are important because they bring distances closer and galvanize energies against those who want us and Iraq bad.”

He added: “Iraq’s sovereignty was violated, and we were able to restore it, and we got rid of the provisions of Chapter VII that Iraq fell under because of the adventures of the grave Baath regime, and we succeeded in restoring Iraq and uniting it after the sectarian strife that took place, through the national reconciliation project, and the clans and sheikhs had clear positions in it.” He praised al-Jabour clan because it was the first clan to take the initiative to respond to the national reconciliation project, and then other indigenous Iraqi clans followed.

The head of the State of Law Coalition stressed the importance of caring for the clans, saying: “The clans today are at the forefront of the situation, and they have a responsibility to defend Iraq. All the difficult situations we were exposed to, the clans were present in the field, so the state must take care of the clans’ affairs and provide support for them, because it is a partner in protecting the state and defending the homeland.

He stated: “The current government was formed by all political forces, without the interference of any external party, despite attempts to stir up strife among the people of the same sect,” stressing that “courageous action must be taken to support the political process and purify it from corruption that is now targeting the citizen, and this requires strength and decision to destroy this dangerous pest.”

Al-Maliki warned that: “Attempts to revive the buried Baath Party, which destroyed Iraq, violated honor and executed innocent people, by granting it a license to work in brotherly Jordan, is unacceptable, and this is an escalation against Iraq and its government,” expressing his belief that such an act represents the head of sedition, and they have to realize that.”

He continued: “We blamed the Jordanian government, and we hope that they will take a stand, and we will also take a stand against these evil people.”

The head of the State of Law coalition concluded his speech by calling on Karbala clans and masses to prepare for the elections and actively participate in choosing who represents them in the provincial councils, saying: Thanks to you, we succeeded in forming this government with your participation in the elections, so we have to start organizing our ranks to participate in the elections, and there is no delay, and the elections will be on time.”
