Applications for the 10th PM Fellowship Program open

Manama, The Prime Minister’s Office announced today that applications for the 10th intake of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program will open from Tuesday 9 July 2024 to Friday 9 August 2024.

The Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office, Hamad Yaqoob Al Mahmeed, emphasised that the PM Fellowship Program aims to invest in Bahraini youth, who are the primary drivers of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Al Mahmeed highlighted that the programme reflects the far-reaching visions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in empowering national leaders to enrich government work and promote innovation and creativity across the public sector.

The PMO’s Director General highlighted the programme’s benefits, emphasising its role in preparing highly qualified public sector leaders through intensive 12-month training.

The programme aims to upskill and re-skill young leaders by offering opportunities t
o learn about public sector decision-making mechanisms, develop plans for government programmes that will shape the Kingdom’s future, and connect with current government officials to gain insight into public sector operations and accountability throughout the decision-making process.

Al Mahmeed commended the outcomes of the PM Fellowship Program over the past years, noting that successful graduates have secured prestigious positions of responsibility across the public sector.

Al Mahmeed acknowledged the contributions of current and past fellows in advancing the Kingdom’s comprehensive progress and development.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Undersecretary of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Bahrain Pilgrimage Mission and members of the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs

Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Undersecretary of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Bahrain Pilgrimage Mission, Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al Qattan, and members of the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs, at Gudaibiya Palace.

His Royal Highness commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, to serving Hajj pilgrims and ensuring their pilgrimage is conducted in peace and safety.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the important role of the Bahrain Pilgrimage Mission and its relentless efforts to facilitate the Hajj pilgrimage for citizens and residents, wishing them further success. In this regard, His Royal Highness congratulated the pilgrims on their safe return.

aikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al Qattan expressed his gratitude for His Royal Highness’s commitment to supporting Bahraini pilgrims and ensuring that all resources are directed towards facilitating and easing pilgrimages.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister issues Ashura holiday circular

Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued a circular on the Ashura holiday.

According to the circular, the Kingdom’s ministries and public institutions will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, corresponding to 16-17 July.
