A fire engulfs the property division in the municipality of Nasiriyah

A fire broke out last Friday evening in the Property Division of the Nasiriyah Municipality, located north of the city, causing major material damage.

An informed source said, according to the Nasiriyah News Network, that the fire caused serious damage to the basic records of the Property Division, and the part related to the union segment.’

He added: ‘The fire brigades rushed to the scene of the accident and were able to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring buildings, and the competent authorities opened an investigation into the accident.’

The Minister of Interior arrives in Diyala

Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari arrived in Diyala Governorate to review the security file in the governorate.

ARIDI THANKS GENERAL IBRAHIM FOR HIS EFFORTS IN FINALIZING RECONCILIATION BETWEEN MALAEB, ARIDI FAMILIES IN BAYSOUR


Yesterday, the town of Baysour-Aley witnessed the finalizing of the reconciliation between the Malaeb and Aridi families following a conflict that had lasted since 2017, which began with the death of Makram Malaeb as a result of a dispute. Since Makram was an inspector in the Lebanese General Security, the then-Director General of the Lebanese General Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, intervened and visited Baysour several times to resolve and contain the conflict. He followed the case with the competent judiciary and the region’s leaders, foremost among them former minister Ghazi Aridi.

Thanks to the efforts of General Ibrahim and Aridi, reconciliation was reached, which was crowned in a grand celebration in Baysour attended by Druze leader Walid Jumblatt, head of the Progressive Socialist Party Taymour Jumblatt, and head of the Lebanese Democratic Party Talal Arslan.

Former minister Ghazi Aridi appreciated the efforts of General Abbas Ibrahim in the reconciliation that took place, Friday, in Baysour
in a massive celebration attended by Druze leader Walid Jumblatt and the region’s leaders.

Aridi said: “Let us not forget the effort of a man who was in a position of responsibility and is still in another position fulfilling his duty with integrity. The late Makram was from the General Security family. Thank you, General Abbas Ibrahim. You are among us as a dear and esteemed brother who played a crucial role in helping us manage the situation from its beginning, and you handled this case from your position of responsibility as one of us. On behalf of our town, we say to you, with loyalty: thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Egyptian President receives Serbian counterpart

Sheikh: Israel must be forced to stop its destructive war

Ramallah – Ma’an – Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Hussein al-Sheikh said that Israel must be forced to stop its open destructive war on all fronts against our Palestinian people.

The Sheikh added in a post on the “X” platform, after the horrific crime (Mawasi Khan Yunis), which claimed the lives of dozens of innocent people in the Gaza Strip, and which constitutes a continuation of the aggression and the shedding of Palestinian blood in full view of the world, this international silence is no longer acceptable.

Youth Ministry, EU Erasmus+ discuss youth development

Manama, Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, received Dr. Osama Abdullah Al Jowder, Representative of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (EU) for education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

The meeting discussed means of enhancing cooperation and benefiting from educational and training opportunities offered by Erasmus+ for Bahraini youth at universities and institutes in the EU.

The undersecretary commended Dr. Al Jowder’s efforts in strengthening cooperation between the ministry and the programme to enhance youth skills in various domains. He emphasised the ministry’s commitment to providing training and educational opportunities for Bahraini youth, in cooperation with various sectors.

He added that this heinous massacre, which claimed the lives of hundreds of our children, women and elderly, is the responsibility of the American administration, which insists on violating all international legitimacy resolutions by continuing to provide financial and weapons support to this occupation, which commits bloody massacres against our people on a daily basis.

Abu Rudeina pointed out that the Israeli occupation continues to flout international and humanitarian laws, by committing war crimes of genocide against the people of Gaza, by directly targeting the tents of the d
isplaced in Al-Mawasi, which shelter tens of thousands of civilian citizens.

The official spokesman for the presidency said that if it were not for the blind and biased American support, this occupation would not have been able to continue its bloody crimes against our people, and to challenge international legitimacy and the decisions of international courts that called for stopping the aggression and providing protection for our Palestinian people.
