The Energy Police Forces of the Ministry of Interior arrested (4) people accused of smuggling oil derivatives and seized two vehicles in Kirkuk and Diwaniyah governorates.

The Ministry stated in a statement: “The detachments of the First and Sixth Energy Police Brigades in Kirkuk and Diwaniyah governorates arrested (4) people accused of smuggling oil derivatives and seized two vehicles, one of which was carrying an oil product without official approvals and documents, and the other due to a discrepancy in the information attached to its frame.”

Foreign Minister receives US Ambassador to Bahrain

Manama, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Steven C. Bondy, the US Ambassador to Bahrain, accompanied by Colonel Christopher Floyd, Military Attaché at the US Embassy.

Commander of the Northern and Eastern Tigris Operations visits Kirkuk Governorate building

Kirkuk Governor Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee, received the Commander of the Northern and Eastern Tigris Operations, Hamid Ibrahim Al-Sahlani, and his deputy Yilmaz Shahbaz Abbas, and a number of leaders of the Popular Mobilization Forces.

During the meeting, they discussed joint cooperation and the importance of maintaining the security and stability of Kirkuk and joint cooperation with all security formations.

Al-Jubouri praised the sacrifices and positions of the security forces in all their types and formations, appreciating the role and courage provided by the heroes of the Popular Mobilization Forces in achieving victory, making sacrifices and fighting terrorism.

He said: “It is our duty and an honor for us to support the security forces and assist them in carrying out their national duties,” congratulating the formation of the Northern and Eastern Tigris Operations Command.

Turkish intelligence announces the killing of two female leaders of the banned PKK in northern Iraq

Turkish intelligence announced the killing of two female leaders of the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in a security operation carried out in Hakurk region in northern Iraq. The Turkish intelligence stated in a media circular today that the two leaders, Wasila Duran, nicknamed “Ronahi Delhevin”, and Dilan Oklu, nicknamed “Arin Tolhildan”, were preparing to attack the Turkish forces stationed in the Hakurk region in northern Iraq after receiving instructions from their leadership to carry out those attacks.

The Turkish intelligence indicated that it had tracked the two leaders in the PKK on the background of crimes related to terrorism, and a decision was made to neutralize them, through an operation by the intelligence service that directly targeted them, after they headed to a meeting point to convey instructions to other militants, where they were able to kill them in the Hakurk region.

It explained in its circular that the so-called “Duran” joined the PKK organization in 2014, and moved to norther
n Iraq in 2015 and worked on the outskirts of Sulaymaniyah Governorate after receiving armed and ideological training, while the so-called “Oklu” joined the terrorist organization in 2014 also and she was only 15 years old, and she also underwent compulsory armed and ideological training in northern Iraq.

The Turkish intelligence stated in its circular that it is monitoring the activities of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, which targets its forces and citizens, and is active in countries in the region, including Syria, Iraq and Iran, and the organization’s militants use the Qandil Mountains in northern Iraq as a stronghold, and are active in many cities, regions and valleys, and launch attacks from them on the Turkish interior.

Babylon police arrest suspect of smuggling antiquities

Babylon Police arrested an accused of smuggling antiquities and seized 6 pieces and antique coins in his possession.

Brigadier General Adel Al-Hussaini, Media Director of Babylon Police, said: “A joint security force arrested the accused who was hiding behind a transportation company, in a tight ambush through intelligence information.”

He added: “The accused was transferred to the competent authorities for investigation, and the seized items were preserved.”

Chilean President arrives in UAE on official visit

Abu Dhabi, President Gabriel Boric Font of Chile arrived in Abu Dhabi today on an official visit to the UAE.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the Chilean President arrived at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi and was received by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Emirati Minister of State for International Cooperation and Head of the Honorary Mission accompanying the President; Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Chile; and several officials.

Man and his second wife arrested for torturing a child to death in Baghdad

Security forces arrested a man and his second wife for killing a child (juvenile) after torturing her in Baghdad.

The spokesman for the Interior Ministry, the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, said in a statement: “The Baghdad Criminal Investigation Directorate detachments arrested a man and his second wife for killing a child (juvenile) after torturing her in Al-Hussein neighborhood in Baghdad.”

He added that: “When they were investigated, they explicitly confessed to torturing the child until she died, and their investigation papers were presented to the investigating judge, who decided to detain them according to the law.

2 wanted persons arrested weapons and ammunition seized in their possession north of Baghdad

Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested two wanted persons, and seized weapons and ammunition in their possession in Tarmiyah district, north of Baghdad.

The command stated in a statement: “A force from the 6th Infantry Division and detachments (Baghdad Emergency Regiment, Karkh 6th and the National Security Service), in coordination with the Intelligence and Security Department of the Command, carried out an arrest warrant against two wanted persons in (Al-Baghdadi) area in Tarmiyah district and arrested them.”

It explained that: “Through inspection and investigation, various types of weapons, ammunition and other materials were found, and the accused and the seized materials were handed over to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.”
