Riyadh: A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck east of the Tonga Islands in the South Pacific today:

According to Saudi Press Agency, the earthquake’s epicenter occurred 177 kilometers west of Hihifo village, at a depth of 324.4 kilometers below the surface.

There have been no reports of damage or casualties so far.
