Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian considered that what happened at dawn on Friday ‘was not an attack,’ noting that Tehran is still investigating the consequences of the marches that took place near Isfahan.

Abdullahian said in a statement to the American channel “NBC”: “What happened last night was not an attack. This was more like children’s toys, not drones.”

He pointed out: “The investigation into who is behind the launch of these marches is still ongoing.”

He added: “If there is no new adventure by Israel against our interests, we do not intend to take any new reaction.”

He stressed, “If Israel takes any decisive step against my country, and this is proven, our response will be immediate, with the greatest force possible, and it will make them regret it.”

This comes against the backdrop of Iran launching hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel on April 13, in response to the Israeli raid on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which resulted in the killing of a number of senior office
rs in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

In the early morning of Friday, April 19, several drones were shot down in the vicinity of an Iranian military base near Isfahan and some other sites inside Iran.

Media reports indicate that launching the drones was an Israeli response to the Iranian attack, but Israel did not officially claim targeting the base in Isfahan. According to reports, Israel was seeking to ‘send a signal’ to Tehran, and not to escalate military action with it.
