Abha Airport Supports Aseer Summer Season with over 1.8 Million Seats, 10,000 Flights

Abha: Abha International Airport has recorded a significant increase in operational activity during the Aseer Summer Season 2026, reflecting the region's sustained growth as a tourism and economic destination.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Cluster2 Airports Company announced that the airport is projected to accommodate approximately 10,000 scheduled flights, both inbound and outbound, between early June and the end of August 2026, with a total capacity exceeding 1.8 million seats.

This growth is supported by an extensive network of 15 year-round destinations, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah, Tabuk, Dubai, Sharjah, Doha, Muscat, Port Sudan, Cairo, Sohag, Giza, Addis Ababa, and Istanbul, in addition to three seasonal summer destinations: Trabzon, Kuwait, and Qassim.

This connectivity contributes to increased tourism by attracting visitors from across the Kingdom and abroad, while also supporting the growth of economic activities linked to the travel sector, including hospitality, accommodation, restaurants, transportation, retail, and seasonal events.
