Baghdad – Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed with Jamal al-Karbouli, head of the United Anbar Alliance, in the presence of Salman al-Jumaili and Iyad al-Jubouri, the latest developments in the Iraqi and regional political scene and upcoming electoral dues.
A statement from Al-Hakim’s office stated: “During the meeting, the importance of holding the elections on the specified date was stressed, as Al-Hakim called for competition on the basis of service programs.”
Al-Hakim stressed the importance of these elections to restore decentralization of the political system, distribute capabilities fairly among the governorates, and empower the people of the governorate with their wealth, opportunities, and goods. He called for attention to the areas affected by ISIS terrorist gangs. He also stressed the importance of attention to remote districts and areas, especially the borders.
He pointed out the importance of a unified position on the events in Palestine, and said in the course of his speech: “What is happening is a complete crime of genocide in front of the eyes of the world, which has closed its eyes and deafened its ears to the cries of children and defenseless innocents.”
