Al-Hakim Stresses The Necessity Of Broad And Conscious Participation In The Elections

The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed the necessity of broad and conscious participation in the elections.

Al-Hakim said during his participation in the celebration commemorating the Prophet’s birthday, which was held by the Sunni Endowment Office in Baghdad: “We express our astonishment at the statutory laws that criminalize defamation and abuse of legal and social figures while turning a blind eye to insulting the Prophet under the banner of freedom of expression.”

He also pointed out, “There are some who are lenient in insulting the Messenger of God (PBUH), the Islamic message, and the Holy Qur’an, while they are strict in protecting other titles and phenomena, such as abnormal and unnatural homosexuality, and consider them discrimination between people. However, these insults unite Muslims and make them feel that they need each other and their leader, the Most Noble Prophet (PBUH).”

He also stressed the importance of participation and solidarity in assuming responsibility for managing the country, especially as we are on the cusp of provincial council elections.

He continued: “It is necessary to participate widely and consciously in the elections, to vote on the basis of competence and integrity, and to choose the team that contributes to accumulating the positives and providing true service to our people.”
