Baghdad - Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi met with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, on the sidelines of the Jeddah Security and Development Summit hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Kadhimi's media office said in a statement, "The meeting discussed a number of files of common interest between the Republics of Iraq and Egypt, bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to enhance cooperation in a number of political and economic fields, and work to enhance joint food security."

The Prime Minister stressed the "deepness of bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of expanding and developing areas of cooperation between them, in the interest of the two brotherly peoples, and in efforts to achieve stability and prosperity for all peoples of the region."
