The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, received today, Sunday, a number of cleaning workers working in various municipalities of the city of Baghdad, and hosted them at the government palace at the iftar table for the blessed month of Ramadan, in the presence of the Mayor of Baghdad.
In his speech to the audience, Al-Sudani pointed out the importance of the role played by cleaners and service workers, and that the government, which raised the slogan of services, is concerned with caring for this generous working class.
The Prime Minister listened to the cleaning workers’ presentation of their administrative and living conditions, inquired about the regularity of their wages, and was briefed on the nature of meals and the times they work and the most important difficulties they face.
Al-Sudani directed that all administrative aspects related to their entitlements be completed, and that the Municipality take care that they have priority in housing projects and land distribution projects in the serviced areas.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Prime Minister directed that a letter of thanks and appreciation be given from him to all service and cleaning workers in all state departments, in addition to giving them a cash reward, in gratitude and appreciation for their work and performance that deserves praise.
