The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) has congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the Cultural Landscape of Al-Faw Archaeological Area being added to UNESCO's World Heritage List. In a statement issued today from its headquarters in Tunis, ALECSO expressed its readiness to support and assist all efforts to preserve heritage in all of its forms, stressing that it will remain the most prominent supporter of all Arab files nominated for registration with UNESCO. It also affirmed that it puts all its capabilities and expertise at the disposal of Arabic countries in the conservation, preservation, documentation, and proper management of cultural property within the framework of cultural tourism projects and sustainable development programs.
