Riyadh: The Royal Commission for AlUla has concluded the AlUla dates auction, a flagship event of the sixth edition of the AlUla Dates Season, achieving results that reaffirm AlUla's position as a leading agricultural hub both in the Kingdom and globally.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this year's auction recorded a 48% increase in sales compared to last season, with total sales exceeding 2,000 tons of premium date varieties and revenues surpassing SAR13 million.
The event attracted participation from more than 1,600 farmers, alongside interest from traders and investors in the dates sector.
The auction underscores the quality of AlUla's agricultural production and the ongoing development of its date marketing ecosystem. It also highlights the commission's efforts to support farmers, boost the competitiveness of local products, and strengthen their presence in both domestic and international markets.
