AlUla Launches Initiative for Photographers to Highlight Destination Diversity

Riyadh: AlUla has launched an initiative for photographers to showcase the diversity of its destinations and natural, cultural, and heritage landscapes. Through professional photography, participants capture the character and details of each location at different times, under varying lighting conditions, and from different perspectives.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative was launched to coincide with World Photography Day, observed annually on August 19. Eight photographers were selected to participate, each presenting their own perspective of AlUla through works captured at various locations and times.

The works feature scenes ranging from AlUla Oasis, with its green vegetation and sandstone formations captured at sunrise and sunset, to cultural and human scenes. They also depict changing weather conditions over the valleys and heritage sites beneath star-filled skies, reflecting the diversity of the governorate's visual attractions.

The initiative highlights photography's role in documenting a place's identity and its natural and cultural heritage. It also demonstrates how photographers can convey the details of a destination through their individual perspectives and experiences, enhancing AlUla's presence as a destination rich in visual scenes and experiences.
