Riyadh: As part of the Khayrat AlUla season initiative at AlManshiyah Farmers Market, the summer fruit season serves as an economic platform that allows local farmers to market crops like figs, grapes, mangoes, and pomegranates directly to consumers, enhancing their market presence and economic returns while supporting long-term agricultural sustainability.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the seasonal market also offers opportunities for families working in the cottage industry and entrepreneurs to invest in local crops by creating processed foods such as juices, jams, dried fruits, and sweets. This integration of production, marketing, and processing benefits small and medium-sized enterprises and improves the overall efficiency of the agricultural value chain.

AlUla's agricultural sector features over 7,000 farms employing more than 5,000 workers that produce over 4,900 tons of summer fruits annually. Organizing this season aligns with ongoing efforts to support sustainable agricultural development, strengthen the local economy, and help entrepreneurs capitalize on the governorate's abundant natural resources.
