Baghdad – Amnesty International, which specializes in defending human rights, confirmed Israel’s use of white phosphorus munitions in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

“We examined videos showing white phosphorus artillery shells exploding over Gaza and Lebanon and spoke to doctors who treated nine victims in southern Lebanon,” Donatella Rovera, Amnesty International’s Senior Crisis Advisor, said in an interview with British television channel Sky News, Stating: “The evidence cannot be refuted.”

She added: “What is surprising is the failure of the international community in the face of a disaster and humanitarian crisis of this magnitude.”
