Anbara Dates: A Rare and High-Value Madinah Treasure

Riyadh: Anbara dates are among the rarest and oldest varieties produced on farms in Madinah. The harvest begins in August and September, toward the end of the rutab season in Madinah and its governorates.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Anbara dates are distinguished by their oblong shape, large size, dark red color, distinctive aroma, and low sugar content. These characteristics make them a premium variety sought after by shoppers and visitors to Madinah.

Madinah's date sector is characterized by the diversity, abundance, and quality of its produce. More than 26,000 farms across the region contain over eight million palm trees, with their produce exported to more than 60 countries.
