Arab League Secretary-General Condemns Iranian Attacks on Kuwaiti Infrastructure

Kuwait city: Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting power stations and water desalination plants in Kuwait. In a statement issued today, Aboul Gheit emphasized the rejection and condemnation of any Iranian military attack on any Arab country, underscoring the seriousness of such actions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Aboul Gheit highlighted that targeting vital civilian facilities, including water networks, energy and electricity facilities, transport centers, and residential areas, and intimidating civilians, constitutes a violation of legal principles and a war crime under international humanitarian law. He asserted that the Iranian regime bears full responsibility for these actions, including the obligation to compensate for the damages caused.

Aboul Gheit also stressed the urgency for Iran to comply immediately with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 in its entirety and to cease its attacks on Arab countries.
