Arab Parliament Condemns Exclusion of UNRWA from Gaza Strip

The arab parliament: The Arab Parliament condemned statements issued by the so-called "Board of Peace" claiming that there is no role for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the so-called "New Gaza."

According to Saudi Press Agency, Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi stated that the remarks represent an attempt to undermine the Palestinian refugee cause and UNRWA's mandate. He warned against efforts to impose a new reality that violates international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

Al-Yamahi emphasized that UNRWA serves as a United Nations witness to the Palestinian refugee issue and that continuing its mandate is essential for safeguarding the rights of Palestinian refugees until a just and comprehensive solution to their cause is reached.

He urged the United Nations and the international community to support UNRWA, uphold its mandate, and reject attempts to undermine the Palestinian refugee cause or infringe on the rights of Palestinian refugees.
