Secretary General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) Dr. Saleh Al-Tuwaijri has commended the pioneering role of the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people.
Al-Tuwaijri said that the fact that the Kingdom presides over the high-level conference that announces pledges to support the humanitarian response to Sudan and the region, to be held on June 19, is a reflection of its leadership in humanitarian and relief work to help the Sudanese people affected by the armed conflict, as well as all peoples in the Arab region and the world, and is an affirmation of its solidarity with the Sudanese people.
"The Kingdom is at the forefront of countries supporting the affected people and those in need in Sudan and the rest of the world. The launch of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) is clear evidence of such support," said Al-Tuwaijri.
