ASEAN Conference Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Phnom Penh:Participants in the fourth ASEAN "Khair Ummah" Conference, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Cambodia, have issued a closing statement condemning the terrorist acts committed by the Houthi militia. These acts include launching drones and missiles toward Makkah, Madinah, and other civilian areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the conference attendees praised Saudi Arabia for its efforts in promoting unity and solidarity by organizing and supporting the event. They acknowledged Saudi Arabia's significant role in spreading Islam's message of tolerance.

The participants expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its dedication to serving Islam and Muslims and for promoting moderation and balance. They emphasized the importance of moderation in addressing challenges and encouraged Muslims to adopt it in worship, social interactions, and ethics to aid in societal development and prosperity.

Additionally, the conference highlighted the responsibility of scholars and preachers to disseminate the correct Islamic creed, counter misconceptions, instill tolerance among the youth, and effectively use modern technologies and artificial intelligence.

The participants underscored the importance of continuing the conference to further cooperation and support for Muslims and their causes. They also extended their appreciation to the Government of Cambodia for hosting the event and providing essential support and facilities.
