Assistant Minister of Media Engages with King Abdulaziz University President to Boost Media Collaboration

Jeddah: Assistant Minister of Media and chairman of the board of the Saudi Media Academy Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlooth met with King Abdulaziz University president Dr. Tareef Yusuf Al-Aama at the university’s headquarters. During this meeting, Al-Maghlooth highlighted key projects and initiatives offered by the ministry across various media fields, alongside a briefing on the Saudi Media Academy.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions between the two officials focused on exploring joint media cooperation opportunities, enhancing existing media efforts, and empowering specialized media skills and capabilities. They aimed to provide creative media spaces that align with the events and occasions hosted by the Kingdom and to work collaboratively on improving media coverage for the Hajj and Umrah seasons.

Additionally, both parties witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Saudi Media Academy and King Abdulaziz University. This agreement is designed to support media education and to train and qualify young media talents in line with the goals and programs of Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasizes building a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.

The agreement outlines collaboration in areas such as offering educational training courses, providing field cooperative training opportunities for university students, and implementing a career qualification program through the “Tawasul” initiative. This initiative aims to offer distinguished university students the chance to apply for promising jobs.
