Azerbaijan announces the control over 60 positions of Armenian forces in the Karabakh region

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that its army has imposed control over more than 60 sites of the Armenian Armed Forces in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.

Defense Ministry Spokesman Anar Evazov said: “During the operations that took place, the Azerbaijani army extended control over more than 60 sites established by formations of the Armenian armed forces.”

He added, "About 20 combat vehicles, more than 40 artillery systems, about 30 mortars, two air defense missile systems, two Morterra electronic radar stations and other military equipment of the Armenian Armed Forces formations were disabled."

Today, Azerbaijan announced the launch of a military operation to “fight terrorism” in the Karabakh region, which is controlled by Armenian forces affiliated with the internationally unrecognized Karabakh Republic.
