Baghdad, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that we do not want any confrontation with Iran, but we will take all measures to protect our forces and citizens.

He added in a press conference: We are working seriously to reach a humanitarian truce in Gaza.

He continued: We are making our efforts to ensure that the conflict does not expand beyond Gaza.

Blinken stressed: The humanitarian truce may be a good opportunity to release civilian prisoners held by Hamas.
