Riyadh: The General Directorate of Civil Defense is showcasing an AI-powered drone designed for search and rescue operations at the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, held here from January 13 to 16.

According to Saudi Press Agency, visitors to the exhibition are introduced to the drone’s capabilities, including a flight duration of up to 60 minutes, a search range of 15 to 20 kilometers, and a payload capacity of up to 40 kg. The drone, equipped with both daytime and nighttime cameras, is capable of transporting food, medicine, and emergency supplies to hard-to-reach areas, making it essential for mountain rescues as well as forest fire and flood emergency responses.
