Coalition Conducts Operation Against Houthi Militia Threats

Riyadh:The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has launched a military operation aimed at neutralizing threats from the Houthi militia. This operation follows repeated attacks by the militia, targeting civilians and civilian facilities in both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Yemen using ballistic missiles and drones.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the official spokesperson of the Coalition, Major General Turki Al-Malki, stated that the operation was conducted under the legitimate right to self-defense in order to protect the security of the Kingdom's territory and its citizens. The operation involved the destruction of key military targets within Houthi-controlled areas, including five tunnels used for ballistic missile storage, four missile launchers, and a missile storage facility.

The Coalition's actions also targeted the Houthi militia's supply lines and military fortifications, aiming to cut off their resources and weaken their military capabilities. The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to protect civilians from Houthi attacks and to uphold international humanitarian law. The operation aims to deter further aggression and safeguard both Saudi and Yemeni civilians from the militia's continued violence.
