Taif: The historic Taif Camel Racing Track will host on Saturday the first trophy races of the eighth Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026, coinciding with the conclusion of the Haqayiq category, with prize money for the evening session exceeding SAR6 million. The festival began last Thursday under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Organized by Saudi Camel Sports, the festival runs through September 13, with total prize money exceeding SAR50 million.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Haqayiq category will conclude after three days of competition featuring 92 races, each covering two kilometers, with total prize money of SAR13.3 million and strong competition among participating camels. The trophy races will take center stage in Saturday's concluding session, with first-place prizes ranging from SAR400,000 to SAR700,000 across the six races.

The organizing committee has allocated SAR90,000 for each general morning and evening race, distributed among the top 10 finishers, while prizes for the six trophy races will be awarded to the top five finishers. Total prize money for the concluding evening session amounts to SAR6.1 million.
