CST Concludes “Connecting the World from the Skies” Forum with More Than 15 Panel Discussions, and over (3000) Attendees

Riyadh-- The Communications, Space and Technology Commission concluded the international “Connecting the World from the Skies” forum which was held in Riyadh from November 8 to 10, 2022, in collaboration with The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and the presence of ministers and officials in national and international organizations. The forum witnessed a huge turnout of those interested in communications and advanced space and information technology with over (3000)

attendees from over 130 countries, including 11 high-ranking officials and 26 CEOs representing tech companies.

The forum discussed various themes and topics specialized in providing communication services via non-terrestrial networks, through more than 15 panel discussions and tutorials delivered by an elite group

of experts, researchers, and academics in technology and investment, alongside the representatives of manufacturers, communication service providers, and regulators on a national and global level.

During the forum, the Commission showcased several trials to provide connectivity via innovative space solutions, offer distinctive models that contribute to the development of communication services in the

sector, and enrich the market with successful experiences and sustainable solutions. Which emphasizes the Kingdom’s leading position in communication and information technology in the Middle East and Africa, with the fastest-growing digital economy.

The Commission launched the first international forum of its kind, to keep up with the accelerated changes in the provision of non-terrestrial communications services, as well as to plan and adopt the global

NTN technologies by supporting research and innovation in future communications networks.
