CST, MCIT, and DGA Recognize ‘IoT Adoption’ Initiative Success Partners at LEAP 2026

Riyadh: The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the Digital Government Authority (DGA) have honored the success partners of the "IoT Adoption" initiative during the LEAP 2026 event. This recognition comes in acknowledgment of their significant contributions and active roles in promoting the adoption of IoT solutions, implementing related initiatives, and unlocking opportunities for partnerships and technology investments.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative saw remarkable success through close collaboration among national entities and partnerships with over 300 organizations from both the public and private sectors. The number of connected IoT devices has exceeded 40 million, with the initiative's impact on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimated at approximately SAR17 billion. This achievement underscores Saudi Arabia's leadership in adopting smart digital solutions, enabling technology markets, and driving the growth of the digital economy.

This success is attributed to the collaborative efforts among national entities to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies and develop their markets. It reflects the maturity of the Kingdom's regulatory environment in fostering investment and innovation, supported by a robust and reliable digital infrastructure. This infrastructure is designed to accommodate the rapid growth in emerging technology adoption, strengthened by strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors.
