Makkah, The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) revealed the telecom indicators in Makkah and Holy Sites on the 15th of June 2024, where the total of voice calls reached 42.2M, including 36.3M local calls and 5.9M international calls, with a total success rate reaching 99%. Statistics showed that total data consumption reached 5.61 thousand TB, equivalent to watching 2.3 million hours of 1080pHD video clips. The indicators also included the daily average of data consumption per capita reaching (761.93 MB/person), exceeding the global consumption rate of 380 MB/person. Mobile internet download speeds averaged 386.66 Mbit/s, while upload average speeds of mobile internet reached 48.79 Mbit/s. The ICT sector is fulfilling the high consumption capacity with the finest quality standards, which is in line with the leadership's aspirations. Through its technical preparations and human cadres, the sector provides high download speed, as well as facilitates the pilgrims' local and international ca lls to ensure a smooth Hajj.
