Culinary Arts Commission to Launch Cultural Activities During Q4, 2023

Riyadh, With the support of the Quality of Life Program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 Realization Programs, the Culinary Arts Commission plans to hold a series of cultural events and festivals during the fourth quarter of 2023, to celebrate local and international dishes and offer and educational and cultural experience to all segments of society in the Eastern Province, the Makkah and the Riyadh regions.

The events will be first held in Riyadh, during the Food Culture Festival in November that includes Saudi and international food tasting tours and family activities. Among them will be the third Saudi Food Feast Festival, which will be held from November 23 to December 2, to celebrate the national food heritage through educational and cultural experiences; it seeks to be the largest of its kind in the Middle East and a global point of reference in celebrating authentic national heritage.

The festival will offer the opportunity to meet local and international chefs and learn special and interesting cooking styles from them. It will also facilitate exploring the possibility of local-foreign business partnerships, with the aim of introducing to the world the Kingdom’s culture and history, and the Middle East region, through food.

Then, in December, the Seafood Festival will be held in Al-Khobar. It will feature local seaside foodstuff, live-cooking stations, a children's area and other activities with local and international participation.

Also in December, the "Our Winter" event, which will be held in Diriyah, Riyadh, will introduce local authentic cooking experiences to visitors, in the process supporting local products.

In Jeddah, the "Ramen and Anime Festival", an event relevant to food and anime characters, will feature popular dishes in East Asia that have a great influence on the Saudi society.
