Day of Tarwiyah: Mina Welcomes Pilgrims Amid Integrated Service and Organizational System

Mina: Mina welcomed yesterday, the eighth day of Dhu Al-Hijjah, crowds of pilgrims arriving to observe the Day of Tarwiyah in accordance with the tradition of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), amid a deeply spiritual atmosphere, alongside integrated operational, service, and organizational efforts mobilized by various authorities to serve the pilgrims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the roads and routes leading to Mina witnessed smooth traffic flow as pilgrims moved from Makkah through an integrated transport system that included buses and the Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro Project, in accordance with operational and organizational plans aimed at facilitating the movement of pilgrim groups and ensuring their safety.

Security, health, and volunteer teams were deployed across various locations to manage pedestrian traffic, guide pilgrims to their camps, and provide emergency, medical, and awareness services around the clock, enhancing safety and comfort for pilgrims.

Mina witnessed full readiness in infrastructure and supporting services, with camps equipped with modern air-conditioning systems and chilled drinking water networks, in addition to the operation of service and health facilities linked to accommodation zones, creating a comfortable environment for pilgrims during their stay in Mina before their departure to Arafat.

The Day of Tarwiyah marks the first stage of the Hajj journey in the holy sites, as pilgrims head to Mina to spend the day in accordance with the tradition of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), before proceeding at dawn on the ninth day of Dhu Al-Hijjah to Arafat to perform the greatest pillar of Hajj.
