Makkah: Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Makkah Region Eng. Waleed Al Dughays conducted a field visit to the slaughterhouse and public markets in Al-Jumum Governorate. The visit aimed to monitor operational and regulatory procedures and ensure the readiness of services provided to beneficiaries during the Eid Al-Adha holidays.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this tour was undertaken to enhance compliance with health, environmental, and regulatory requirements, ensure food safety, and safeguard public health.

The visit included monitoring slaughtering operations, veterinary inspection procedures, and health oversight, as well as inspecting public markets to assess the availability and safety of food products.
