Al-Khobar:The Eastern Region Municipality hosted a community event along the Al-Khobar Corniche to celebrate World Cities Day. The event was organized under a theme that emphasized the role of people in shaping the beauty of cities and was held in collaboration with Joud Women's Charitable Society. It showcased the municipality's efforts to enhance the urban landscape, improve the efficiency of public facilities, and elevate the quality of life.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Deputy Mayor for Services in Eastern Region Mahmoud Al-Ratoui highlighted that the event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of building sustainable, people-centered cities and increasing community participation in preserving urban assets. He emphasized the need for developing public services and facilities, as well as promoting environmental sustainability to make cities more vibrant, attractive, and inclusive.

Al-Ratoui also pointed out that community engagement is crucial in achieving urban development goals. He noted that a city's beauty is defined not only by its development projects but also by the active involvement of its residents and their commitment to protecting its facilities and assets. These efforts are in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance the quality of life.
