The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, confirmed that our visit to Baghdad reflects the depth of the relationship between Iraq and Qatar.

The Emir of Qatar said: We agreed with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani on trade exchange between Iraq and Qatar, and it must grow.

The Emir of Qatar announced that he had discussed with the Sudanese Prime Minister, Mohammed Shiaa, strengthening relations in the field of energy, trade and economy.

The Emir of Qatar said: We discussed regional initiatives to strengthen relations between the countries of the region, including the electrical interconnection project.

We signed a number of memorandums of understanding regarding trade and energy.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, said that we realize the importance of Iraq in the region and the security of Iraq is part of the stability of the region.

The Emir of Qatar congratulated the Iraqi government and people on the outstanding success in organizing the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra.
