Dergham: There is a programmed campaign against the president
Strong Lebanon" MP, Asaad Dergham, on Wednesday refused the formation of any government that might torpedo the accomplishments of the current tenure; however, the lawmaker disclosed a positive cabinet lineup atmosphere, anticipating the birth of a new government soon.
As for the belligerent campaigns against President Michel Aoun's trip to the U.S. to partake in the UN General Assembly meeting, the lawmaker dismissed said attempts as part of "a programmed campaign against the president."
He refused allegations that the President's trip to New York, along with a 60-member delegation, would worsen the country's deficit.
"As if Lebanon's deficit depends on the travel of these 60 people! Is the country's dire economic situation all dependent on the president's trip to New York?" he wondered.
