Environment Ministry Highlights Student Role in Natural Resource Conservation

Riyadh: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture affirmed that raising school students' awareness of natural resource conservation is essential to promoting sustainable practices. It noted that the return to school provides an important opportunity to foster environmental awareness and strengthen responsibility toward natural resources.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry urged students to adopt positive habits inside and outside school. These include turning off water taps tightly after use, disposing of waste in designated areas, using reusable water bottles, and avoiding food waste by consuming only what they need. It stressed that these daily practices help conserve natural resources, reduce waste, and promote sustainability.

The ministry added that raising students' environmental awareness helps prepare a generation that recognizes the importance of conserving natural resources. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to promote sustainable development and improve quality of life.

Reinforcing these practices can also have a broader impact across society by promoting a culture of natural resource conservation and encouraging sustainable practices. The ministry noted that better resource management can help protect ecosystems and ensure their sustainability for future generations.
