Environment Ministry Makkah Branch Intensifies Slaughterhouse and Market Inspections for Hajj

Makkah: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture Makkah branch has intensified its field inspection tours of slaughterhouses and public markets in preparations for the upcoming Hajj season, aiming to enhance compliance with health and technical requirements and ensure facilities are fully prepared to handle the anticipated surge in pilgrim numbers while preserving public health and food safety.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspection tours focus on monitoring slaughterhouse operations to ensure absolute adherence to approved slaughtering and processing standards. Additionally, field teams are inspecting public markets to verify the quality and safe handling of all consumer products in strict accordance with approved regulations.

The ministry confirmed that these intensive field operations will continue throughout the season. Legal measures will be strictly applied against any violators to enhance overall service quality, safety, and regulatory compliance during the peak days of Hajj.
