Ferrari have set the early standard in the new Formula One season with a stunning Bahrain Grand Prix one-two from Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz but champion Max Verstappen and Red Bull have no lack of problems to seek. Leclerc took victory from pole position to end the prancing horse team’s wait from 2019 for a win and a late retirement from Verstappen put Sainz right behind him. Sergio Perez’s other Red Bull also coming to a halt on a final lap let Lewis Hamilton claim the final podium place but Mercedes too will know they have plenty work to do before the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix on Sunday…
