Five Jubail Schools Join UNESCO Associated Schools Network

Jubail:Five schools in Jubail affiliated with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) have joined the UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet). This initiative, coordinated with the Ministry of Education and the Saudi National Committee for Education, Culture, and Science, integrates these schools into an international network comprising over 10,000 institutions across 166 countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this milestone represents a strategic advancement for the local education sector and aims to elevate Saudi schools on an international level. The network emphasizes sustainable development, global citizenship, and intercultural learning, promoting global engagement and the exchange of best practices.

Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi, Director of the General Education Department at RCJY in Jubail, mentioned that an operational plan is in place to enhance the skills of teachers and coordinators. The plan includes implementing student projects focused on sustainability, tolerance, and a culture of peace, with performance indicators established to ensure a tangible educational impact.

He further stated that this initiative is aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program, supporting RCJY's priorities in educational quality and global competitiveness.
