Floods and Landslides Claim 15 Lives in the Philippines

Philippines: At least 15 people have died due to floods and landslides linked to tropical cyclones Luis and Maymay in the Philippines. This follows more than a week of heavy rainfall, as reported by police today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Philippine authorities stated that 13 individuals sustained injuries and six are still missing. The southern part of the country continues to experience the impact of several tropical storms and southwest monsoon winds, resulting in significant rainfall.

The fatalities have been reported in the provinces of Benguet, Rizal, and Batangas located on the main island of Luzon. The adverse weather conditions have affected over 750,000 people, with more than 8,000 individuals seeking refuge in evacuation centers.
